English as a Second Language
Bridges Class, Sundays at 11:00am:
In Bridges Class, students are able to improve their ability to read, speak and write in English. Students should be able to carry out a simple conversation in English before taking this class. Sessions include interesting stories from the Bible. People of all religions are welcome. Coffee or tea is provided.
Conversation Cafe, Sundays at 12:30pm:
ESL conversation café is safe place to practice every day English communication. Hosts will lead a discussion about various aspects of Canadian culture and you will have an opportunity to learn and practice relevant English phrases and words. All skill levels are welcome. The conversation café has no religious content. Coffee or tea is provided.
Programming for children:
You are encouraged to bring your children, no matter how young or old they are. Children ages 10 or younger can attend English classes that include bible stories and playtime. ESL sessions for junior and senior high age children may be possible depending on the availability of volunteers.
Both sessions start on Sunday, January 19, 2020 and meet weekly until Sunday April 5, 2020.
