Frequently Asked Questions

What is the purpose of groups?

Groups exist here at North Pointe to develop meaningful connections, “spiritual friendships” beyond Sundays that are centred on God’s word. They are designed to help you grow in relationship with others and deepen your relationship with God.

What are groups?

Here are North Pointe we have three types of groups:

Life Groups - A small group of people who meet together weekly to share, study and support one another. They will be going through a bible study or digging deeper into the weekend message.

Support Groups - Sometimes we all need support. Support groups are offered in a number of different areas to help walk though life’s Habits, Hurts and Hang-ups.

Interest Groups -Are groups who meet regularly (weekly, bi-weekly or monthly) that are centred around common interests. This could be fitness, social gatherings, games, or even based around a hobby.

Where can I sign up for a group?

You can sign up online on our groups page. Most Life groups will have sign up available in September, January and March with other groups having open sign up throughout the year.

When and where do they meet?

Groups primarily will meet in homes in the evening throughout the week with some meeting at the church.

What will we study?

Most of the studies are based on the previous weekend’s message where you get to roll up your sleeves and discuss how the weekend’s message works in real life. Each week there will be a series of Bible passages and questions Life Groups will discuss. There are also some groups who will study specific books of the bible or a variety of biblical topics.
